Numbering of Residences Required:
With the addition of the Enhanced 911 system in Vermont, all residential dwellings are required to be numbered and identified to emergency responders.
In Cambridge, all dwellings and future dwellings must meet this requirement. The Town of Cambridge will supply "free of charge" an appropriate house sign initially. It is the owner's responsibiltiy to ensure the numbers are visible and in good repair.
Below is a copy of the original ordinance.
The Town of Cambridge, Office of Emergency Management is made up of an Emergency Management Director, Deputy Director, and volunteer staff that activates during disaster situations to manage response and recovery. In addition the group is charged with developing plans for dealing with disasterous situations. Contact the Director for more information.
